COMPLIANCE ASST

Job Description

***This job can office from Keene or from another Texas branch.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for administering and training on the bank’s compliance program at branch level.    Serves on the state compliance committee.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Serves on bank management committee(s) responsible for the development of compliance policies and new product development.
  2. Prepares reports to the board summarizing results of all review and testing related to compliance.
  3. Assists with training branch employees on compliance issues.
  4. Provides daily support and assistance to branch locations as needed, as it relates to  compliance.
  5. Reviews, approves, and maintains disclosure documentation for loan and deposit products, as it relates to compliance.
  6. Regular and reliable attendance.
  7. Be available for internal and external compliance exams.  
  8. Other duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of Reg AA, Reg B, Reg BB, Reg C, Reg CC, Reg D, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg H, Reg P, Reg Z, BSA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, GLBA, USA Patriot Act – Section 326. 
  • Knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
  • Skill in operating computer terminals and printers and other various office equipment
  • Skill in good communication and training.
  • Ability to type with high level of accuracy, and an acceptable degree of speed.
  • Ability to create an efficient work environment, paying close attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous banking experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK CONDITIONS:

Seeing:  75-100%
Must be able to read documents, use computer
 
Hearing:  75-100%
Must be able to communicate with 
 
Standing/Walking:  50-74%
Must be able to visit with coworkers, go to areas of the office to use copier, fax machines, etc.
 
Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling:  50-74% 
Must be able to kneel or stoop to file
            
Fingering/Grasping/Feeling:  75-100%
Must be able to use computer, write and place paperwork in file folders.

 
PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.  Job involves sitting most of the time and if walking and standing is required, only occasionally.
