GL SERVICE SPEC I

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position balances and maintains various accounts and reports related to the bank's operations under the direction of the GL Services Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Reconciling the Fed Reserve Bank account and Correspondent Bank accounts.
  2. Balancing various other general ledger accounts.
  3. Open and maintain general ledger accounts according to standard coding.
  4. Reviewing general ledger exception reports and report exceptions to the branches.
  5. Correcting general ledger account numbers for non-posted items.
  6. Provides full customer service in a broad variety of duties.     
  7. Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of Fiserv Premier preferred.  
  • Knowledge of customer service practices and principles.
  • Skill in operating various office machines, computers, and printers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, customers, and coworkers.
  • Knowledge of general banking principles and banking regulations and a willingness to participate in educational opportunities.
  • Ability to exhibit precision and effectiveness in a high-speed setting.
  • Ability to work under pressure meeting critical deadlines and have multitask abilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Accounting and bank experience is preferred.
  • Must have prior balancing/reconcilement experience and be familiar with internal general ledger systems

More Details

Monday through Friday 8-5. Work from home offered after 90 days with manager's discretion.
