Treasury Sales Officer

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Treasury Sales Officer is responsible for driving treasury revenue and deposit growth in the assigned market(s) through proactive prospecting, new client acquisition, and expansion of treasury product adoption within existing relationships. This role serves as the Treasury Sales leader, combining strong business development skills, community engagement, and internal collaboration to position the bank as a trusted treasury partner while leveraging dedicated treasury teams for onboarding, implementation, and ongoing account support.

 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Prospect, identify, and close new treasury management relationships with business clients in assigned market(s) 
  • Expand treasury product usage and fee income within existing commercial and business banking relationships
  • Lead treasury-related sales efforts in partnership with Commercial Loan Officers and other bank staff
  • Serve as the primary treasury advisor in client conversations, delivering consultative solutions aligned to client cash flow, payments, and fraud prevention needs
  • Develop and lead external client reviews and presentations to ensure all necessary documents and details are presented accurately
  • Maintain strong visibility and involvement in the business community to drive referrals and market presence
  • Collaborate with treasury onboarding, implementation, and support teams to ensure smooth post-sale execution and client satisfaction. 
  • Manage sales pipeline, goals, and activity reporting while maintaining accountability for market results
  • Regularly exercising independent judgement and discretion over matters of significance. 
  • Communicate effectively in-person and otherwise with all coworkers and customers, both during regular business hours and before and after regular business hours, if necessary. 
  • Effective communication and collaboration are essential for this role. While remote work may be available periodically, there are times when being in the office is necessary to maintain our collaborative efforts. Therefore, this position cannot be primarily performed remotely.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of treasury management products and bank compliance
  • Ability to develop a consultative sales culture in assigned market(s) with internal teams and external community
  • Existing presence or awareness of the business community in assigned market(s)
  • Knowledge of bank and treasury management software
  • Skill in Microsoft Office specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Skill in communicating and coordinating activities with management, customers, coworkers, and vendors. Communication must be timely and strong
  • Ability to research and review customer industry segments and product portfolios
  • Ability to travel

 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • 5 years of bank and/or cash management experience
  • Prior experience in a business development role with measurable results
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification preferred
