George was born and raised in Denton, Texas. In 1983, he graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Banking-Finance. George began his community banking career in Tarrant County in 1986 and continues to serve in all aspects of commercial and consumer lending.
